Director and Founder of The Yoga OM
The path of ancestor’s is over 6000 years into origin evaluation and development of yoga.Growing in a house hold where yoga presented as a religion. Joy started practicing her first yoga asana in a very young age.
Her mom was her first teacher and in 1989 Iyngar tree was the first book to study. Growing up ashtanga has been the inspiring foundation through school and collage. The love of yoga is undeniable with influence of many great masters like Patabi Jois, David Swenson & Nicki Doane and the many more to honor…
She started teaching in 2006 in Rome, Italy. Traveling internationally to study and serve with US service members, she continued her practice to develop and to create the integral trainings for one self and to teach its methodology and technicalities to others.
In her teachings lies the presence pieces of Joy’s knowledge as little gift of seeds to share. Teaching on the road and at home had to have a place. So with light and a tailored yoga came the yoga om school to create a home of peace where mind, body and spirit can grow. And for students to embrace and understand the Art of Yoga and how to naturally improve their health and quality of life.
Joy’s educations, qualifications and life skills has come here to serve a higher purpose. Joy’s soul resides to teach and inspire health & wellness at The Yoga Om of Huntersville.
